Web Site Copywriting/SEO*
Nothing makes a bigger difference to your conversion rates than the quality of your site copy. If your hits are good but your sales or enquiries are poor, then it's obvious that your copy is not working as well as it should.
Writing site copy isn't some sort of black art. Web site copywriting employs many of the same techniques as traditional off-line copywriting.
The only thing that tends to complicate things is that site owners are keen to incorporate keywords within their site copy that helps them get better page rankings in search engines like Google.
Done by a professional copywriter, this can work well. The copy still says what the reader wants to hear and contains many, if not all, of the keywords that the owner wishes to include.
Done badly, however, "keyword rich" site copy is unreadable. It alienates prospects.
And what's the point of having a highly-ranked web page if it doesn't bring you any sales?
I've written an "idiot's guide" to SEO, which is yours for the asking. Just drop me a line. Follow these principles and you can't go far wrong.
